If you love high-quality, sustainably made shoes and apparel, then AllBirds is for you!
The first thing I tell people when they visit me in San Francisco is, “Bring comfortable running shoes. And if I had found these incredibly soft, comfortable, and stylish shoes earlier in life, I would have mentioned them every time.” The early years of walking to work would have been much better.
The creation of AllBirds began with a simple question: why was a product as sustainable as merino wool virtually nonexistent in the footwear industry? Tim Brown, originally from New Zealand, decided to answer the question himself by creating his own shoe brand.
After years of research and experimentation, he developed a revolutionary type of fabric that he believed would change the world of sneakers. AllBirds was founded in San Francisco in 2014 and started with the help of Brown’s business partner, Joey Zwillinger.
I’m talking about AllBirds, the wool shoe that I highly recommend, especially for people who walk a lot. AllBirds, which is headquartered in San Francisco, currently offers two styles: a sneaker called the Wool Runner and a slip-on called the Wool Lounger. Yes, both are made of real wool, and the design is so well executed and the fit so comfortable that it feels like walking on a plush carpet.
There’s no awkward break-in period, no pushing or pressing in the wrong places, and absolutely no risk of sore feet. I could (and do) wear them for hours.
The Men’s Wool Runners offer the wearer more individual design options in terms of color. In addition, you can’t miss the fact that their midsoles are made from sugar cane, which is virtually unheard of in the shoe industry. They were named one of TIME’s best inventions in 2018. These sneakers are suitable for long walks in the city, hikes in nature and even the skate park.

Unconverted buyers often complain that the original shoes don’t fit their style. But it’s hard to fault the Wool Piper, AllBirds’ take on a traditional cupsole shoe.
The shoes are just as comfortable and easy to care for as other AllBirds models, and are made from the same durable materials (merino wool and SweetFoam insoles). Still, the low-tops are much more adaptable, so the Wool Pipers might be our favorite pair to date.
In real life, they fit right out of the box; however, one of us was irritated after a long weekend in a brand-new pair. We expect them to loosen up over time and get a custom fit, similar to the Runners.
Are your slippers cozy and comfortable? Want to wear your slippers outside?
Introducing AllBirds Wool Loungers! These are the most comfortable shoes you will ever wear. They feel like your old slippers that you never want to get rid of. Wool Loungers feel like socks and allow you to move around flexibly.
The AllBirds Dasher shoes were the first performance shoes released by the brand. They are excellent running shoes, ideal for everyday use.
The Dasher shoes feature all of AllBirds’ signature materials: merino wool, SweetFoam insoles, and eucalyptus pulp knit. This sole gives your feet unique stability, and the upper offers breathability and maximum freedom of movement. The cushioning of the Dasher is probably its best feature.
It’s flashier than a regular running shoe, but not as bulky or cushioned as the Hoka One One. This, combined with a wide platform that provides good stability on a variety of terrains, makes for a comfortable and stable ride almost anywhere.
The AllBirds Tree Breezers are the perfect summer flats that you will always need. These flats are flexible and breathable, your ideal companion in all adventures.
The Tree fabric used in the Tree Breezers retains its shape for a longer period of time.
The AllBirds’ Tree series is made from a durable mesh-like material made from eucalyptus pulp. This makes the shoes cooler and more breathable than the company’s previous offerings.
The Tree Runners are essentially a lighter version of the Wool Runners with a sturdier structure that holds its shape. They remain exceptionally comfortable and easy to maintain. We rely on them for work, weekends, and travel, and many of us prefer the tree material over wool because it seems to last longer.
These shoes are refreshing, breathable and support your feet while running. Whether at a festival or a farmers market, these AllBirds shoes offer you maximum mobility. The additional lace function helps you walk with excellent support.
We love the AllBirds Tree Toppers. They’re just as “light and airy as the Tree Runners, but cushioned enough to wear on a dreary November day in New York City.” They’re comfortable and supportive without being restrictive or bulky, and we wore them sockless with no chafing.
They’re officially known as high-tops, but the better definition is mid-tops.
AllBirds Tree Loungers are a lighter version of the Wool Loungers, sturdier and more absorbent than your usual slippers. If you like it a little warmer, we recommend the Wool Runners. If you prefer a more cooling material, we recommend the Tree Loungers.
Isn’t it frustrating to accidentally step in a puddle on a rainy day? But you don’t have to worry anymore! The AllBirds Mizzle is made from a special water-resistant material that deflects raindrops or any other liquid. And the soles feature an anti-slip material that gives you better grip on slippery surfaces.
We have noticed in customer reviews that the Mizzles are the go-to shoes for people who are always on the run, even on rainy days. The merino wool will keep your feet warm and cozy on cold days.
AllBirds is known for its unique materials and fabrics that set it apart from the competition. If you are ready to invest in comfortable and durable shoes and clothing, then AllBirds is for you!
